Boil the honey and the molasses; remove from heat. Beat egg in a bowl until frothy; then add the sugar. Add Alcirelli Lemon Extract, citron, almonds and the first mixture. Stir the other ingredients together and add, mixing well. Roll out ¼ inch (6 mm) thick on floured surface. Cut in 2 ½ inch (6 cm) circles. Place on greased cookie sheet. Decorate with flaked almonds and bits of cherries. Add some corn syrup to help them stick. Bake in 375° F (190° C) oven for about 8 to 10 minutes. Cool,. Brush with warm corn syrup to glaze. Makes about 3 ½ dozen.
